Indications
It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is commonly prescribed for respiratory infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis; ear infections; skin and soft-tissue infections; and certain sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia. It is also used for pharyngitis/tonsillitis in people who cannot take penicillin.
