Indications

Hepanox is indicated for the treatment and prevention of various thromboembolic conditions. It is used to treat deep vein thrombosis (with or without pulmonary embolism) and to manage unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction when given alongside aspirin. Hepanox also helps prevent clot formation during haemodialysis and is used for prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism in patients undergoing orthopedic or general surgery, as well as in bedridden medical patients with acute illnesses such as heart failure, respiratory failure, severe infections, or rheumatic diseases. Additionally, it is employed in the management of acute coronary syndromes, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and to reduce ischemic complications in unstable angina, non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, and during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
